Departing Friends

Here is the last of the Hondu 7 Youth Development group. We`ve spend over 2.5 years with these people. They`ve seen the best and worst of the both of us, and quite honestly, departing from these people is what I dread most about leaving Honduras.

Every one of them is my true friend and it`s difficult knowing we will soon be spread across the United States and no longer a 3-10 hour ride on a chicken bus.




Things are getting pretty crazy right now.

Our Close of Service conference went well. A lot of resume writing tips, a lot of preparation for the culture shock we are about to experience upon our return to the states.

We talked about how to say goodbye to our villages and how to say hello to what awaits. I can tell that living here for so long has really changed my perspective on almost everything, ever. Going home will be bittersweet but also really scary.
